Night Cream

Hardly Soft

USA 2019

Hardly Soft presents Night Cream, an exhibition that explores a balance of contrasts by examining methods of adaptation, friction, and collaboration. Hard lines saturated with soft hues transform through a series of constraints as they face odd angles and weight that is both physical and symbolic. When opposites attract tension expands then folds as the other becomes more familiar.

Hardly Soft, started in 2018, is a collaboration featuring Amber Cobb and Mario Zoots. While young in its inception Hardly Soft is seasoned well with ripened immaturity.

“Night Cream” will open at Understudy on May 9th, 2019, with a reception on May 11th from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
