Ben Alderman aka Lin Wen-Ben
In "404 Not Found," Wen-Ben uses the aesthetic of digital software icons to illustrate the journey of searching for something one doesn't know they're looking for. The one-minute clock tower version of "404 Not Found" explores that concept briefly and uses this as an opportunity to build the world of his future short film.
Ben Alderman, also known as Lin Wen-Ben, was adopted as an adolescent from Taiwan. Graduated with a degree in experimental animation from the Royal College of Art. He is an animation director as well as a fine artist. As a fine artist, his works have been exhibited at Leon Gallery, Supernova Digital Animation Festival, Lakewood Cultural Center, and New American Painting No. 132. As a film director, a number of his moving image project has been selected for festivals around the world. The list includes the London Short Film Festival and the Factual Animation Film Festival. His work has also been recognized as a finalist at the Florida Animation Festival and an award winner at the Mosaic World Film Festival and the Dream of the Dreamer Film Festival.
