About the Artist

Andréa Philippon is a digital artist based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a multidisciplinary background in multimedia. His passion for the vegetal and fungi kingdoms inspires him to create dreamlike and surrealistic worlds that blend reality with the digital realm.

After spending a decade in the hospitality and catering industry, Andréa decided to pursue a new path in digital arts by studying at Eracom, an art and communication school in Lausanne. Upon graduating, he worked for several companies but quickly found that freelancing suited him better. He has been working as a full-time freelancer for the past five years.

Andréa’s artistic exploration evokes a deep and ancestral connection to nature. Inspired by art and science, he creates colorful, surrealistic fauna and peaceful artworks that convey wonder and serenity. His vibrant visuals, crafted using computer software, mimic and embellish nature, capturing its essence and elegance.

He offers unique perspectives on natural evolution and potential futures, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty and vulnerability of our living world and our interaction with it. Influenced by numerous contemporary artists, Andréa admires figures such as Antoni Gaudi, Alphonse Mucha, and Pierre-Joseph Redouté. In addition to his digital practice, he has collaborated with renowned artists, including creating visuals for David Guetta and Björk’s shows. He also collaborates with Typotheque on projects, creating digital representations of critically endangered and extinct plants, raising awareness about threatened flora and vulnerable languages worldwide. Andréa’s work has been exhibited in major cities, including Paris, Tokyo, and Shanghai.
